Position Description:

  • Facilitates internal review of contractual agreements and supports the timely execution of contracts.

  • Reviews proposal terms and conditions from the customer to assure adherence to Flowserve standard terms and conditions or to appropriate risk levels

  • Daily interaction with external and internal customers

  • Accurate review and interpretation of customer’s order specifications and drawings

  • Selecting the most optimum actuator in accordance with valve data to provide the best solution for the customer.

  • Prepare accurate and economical quote based on customer specifications

  • Enter the approved quote into the project tracking system

  • Accurately answer technical and commercial questions from customers in a professional manner, in the time frame needed by the customer. This includes both internal and external customers Input customer purchase orders into the ERP system with very high accuracy and in accordance with customer needs

  • Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues.

  • This includes providing recommendations and follow up with the customer to ensure the issue is resolved

  • Keep the customer informed of order status in a proactive and professional manner

  • Successfully interact with internal groups to solve customer issues

  • Supports Import/Export Compliance activities to ensure the plant’s compliance with applicable corporate and government agency rules and regulations.

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum Associates in Business or Technical Degree is required; working towards a bachelor’s degree would be considered coupled with experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • 2+ years minimum experience working in a similar manufacturing and/or industrial environment, in a similar role or function.

  • Familiarity or willingness to learn all applicable Industry Guidelines and regulations including supporting the commercial Nuclear Industry (ASME, API, HI, 10CFR50, 10CFR21, etc.)

  • PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills required


  • Working knowledge of export regulations is desirable.

  • Parts Pricing knowledge and experience is preferred.

  • Experience in Nuclear Aftermarket parts.

  • Experience in the manufacturing of pump equipment (or a similar mechanical complex environment).

  • Knowledge of MRP principals, working knowledge with BaaN is highly desired.

  • Previous experience interpreting RFQs.
