Flowserve hires a Commercial Operations Manager for France area located in Trappes site.
Commercial Operations is the organization responsible for defining the policies and implementing processes for customer facing quotation activities.
The main activities include the receipt of an inquiry, evaluation of the opportunity, preparation of a quotation in accordance with a defined sales strategy, the autoSAP process with approvals and delivery of a clean and complete order to order fulfilment department . Commercial Operations serves as the primary interface between sales and operations.
The Commercial Operations Manager for France is responsible for managing all quotation activity in support of original equipment portfolio with a strong exposure to customers and sales located within the regional responsibility. This position reports directly to Director IPO Commercial Operations EMA.

As Manager Commercial Operations you will be responsible to develop, coordinate and lead a group of experienced and competent application engineers to the effective stimulation of the order intake for all original equipment portfolio .
Lead and manage a team of experienced and competent applications engineers to generate a high volume of high quality, on time, proposals while ensuring process compliance (SAP, T&C).
Ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain close working relationships with and achieve alignment through constant communication/collaboration between internal groups such as Sales, Legal, Operations, HR, Finance, and Marketing.
Monitor and control order entry activities to ensure proper handoff between Commercial operations and the order fulfillment department.
Hire, on-board and train new Applications Engineers using training and development plans.
Manage the interface with sales organization as well as with CSOF department (order fulfillment).
Significant Experience of applications engineering and/or comparable sales/customer facing experience within the project sales and aftermarket/end-user organizations. Alternatively, significant experience in Engineering department in rotating equipement and willing to be more sales oriented could also be considered.
Engineering diploma required with mechanical competencies.
Knowledge of ERP/ IT sales systems (SAP, SMART and Affinity/IQ).
Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of pump applications and types, pump affinity laws and how these relate to pumps and pump systems.
Have a clear understanding of life cycle cost principles and the ability to create value added proposals that differentiate Flowserve solutions against traditional first cost approach.
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in both English and French is necessary.
PC skills and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
Additional foreign language skills would be an advantage.
Highly organized with proven leadership skills and requiring minimal managerial direction to achieve both short and long term objectives.
Attention to details and process oriented mindset with results driven background.
This individual should have a demonstrated record of being highly collaborative and have the ability to achieve alignment with parties that have different objectives.
Regional business travel will be required.
