Position Description:


  • Develop item masters, structures & Bills of Material; new & revised, covering the full range of Raleigh products for Nuclear, traceable & commercial orders , including but not limited to MSIV’s & type A Actuators.

  • Interpret customer requirements from new & revised orders for Nuclear, traceable, & commercial products & develop Work Requests for Design layouts, casting & detail drawings as needed. Routinely interface with peers, supervisors, design engineers, & other plant personnel as needed on the most complex work assignments .

  • Assist supervisor & others on the full range of Raleigh products with resolution to Engineering related problems/questions coming from the shop floor, marketing Engineers/AE’s, Purchasing & Planners, pattern shops, field service, plus any other area in or outside the building.

  • Research all necessary records & source data to determine good data & part numbers where applicable to satisfy incoming quotes for the full range of Raleigh products, including MSIV’s & type A Actuators.

  • Process special project work tasks, CIP related work, ECNs, & administrative assignments, as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • A.A.S. degree in an Engineering related technical field with three years minimum related experience, or seven years minimum successful valve related experience.

  • Good communication skills are required, as a successful candidate must be able to work with and assist Design Engineers & other plant personnel as needed.

  • Work independently or in a team environment & proven ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Competence in basic valve designs & material compatibility.


  • Familiarity with the applicable ASME & MSS standards a plus.

  • Basic Creo/AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
