Position Requirements:

Primary duties:

  1. Provide effective leadership, motivation, direction and communication to all members of the manufacturing team.

  2. Establish timely PMP for all direct employees and review

  3. Select, develop and motivate a competent team within each functional area to ensure the business adopts Flowserve best practice and thereby maintains its competitive position.

  4. Maintain a safe working environment for all employees and work effectively with SHEA manager to implement SHEA improvement plans.

  5. Ensure all OE and A/M orders meet FPDA/NZ on time delivery requirements.

  6. In conjunction with the Planning Manager, monitor order/production estimates to ensure costs and timing plans are met.

a. Investigate variances and action/rectify for future jobs/projects.

b. Establish manufacturing review and control processes to monitor results.

  1. Ensure effective utilisation of manufacturing resources to maintain acceptable manufacturing recovery results.

  2. Drive compliance with government, corporate and divisional SHEA and property risk management expectations.

  3. Drive methodologies/practices to ensure CIP, Lean and 6s processes are effectively utilised in all manufacturing departments.

  4. In conjunction with site HR, conduct/develop succession planning reviews/actions annually to:

a. identify skill gaps;

b. establish training plans;

c. review performance.

Demonstrated leadership and effective people management skills

  • Previous manufacturing management experience

  • Continuous improvement / Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience

  • Excellent Work Health, Safety and Environment knowledge and experience

  • ISO / Quality experience

  • Business / Management qualifications, desirable

  • Trade background would be advantageous
